School Dinners

Harcourt Primary is very proud of the quality of lunchtime meals that we are able to provide our pupils with. All meals are provided by our own on-site kitchen and all meals are freshly prepared daily by our own kitchen staff. As a healthy and nut-free school, all the meals available to the children follow the food standard guidelines.

A school meal costs £2.30 per day or £11.50 a week.  As from Monday 6 September 2010 our new school dinner protocol came into force, which means that school dinners will need to be paid for in advance.  This will mean that if payments for school dinners are not up-to-date, your child will not be provided with a cooked school dinner and parents/carers will need to supply their child with a packed lunch from home.

Children have the opportunity to have a school packed lunch instead of a hot cooked meal. The cost will be £2.30 and the lunch will consist of:

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
Cheese Sandwich Tuna Wrap Ham Sandwich Egg Mayo Baguette Cold Cheese & Tomato Pizza

Each packed lunch will also contain fruit, vegetable sticks, a pudding and water or milk. Bread will also be available every day.

If your child is entitled to free school meals but brings in a packed lunch, we hope they will take up the new school packed lunch.

In KS1, all children receive free fruit during morning breaktime. If your child is under the age of 5, they will receive free milk.
